Rocky Springs (milepost SM 4.6)
History
Rocky Springs was a station and/or business spur on the Madison branch between Stokesdale and Madison in southwest Randolph County. I have not found anything about it's history at this point.
The ICC valuation reports indicate that there was an 11'x12' loading platform with 2" plank deck. It also indicated that "Brown's spur" included a section house, bunk house (made out of a 9'x34' boxcar body), 10'x12' tool house and several dwellings (the same size/layout as at Dalton).
