This Consolidation was retired in September of 1946. Originally H-1 class SR #267, it was renumbered SR #280 and kept that number when leased to the A&Y.

 The 280 was photographed in Pomona Yard, Greensboro by Charles Auman, Reidsville, NC.

The date of the photograph is unknown. Although it appears that the locomotive was ready to be retired or was in for major repairs.
