This American Type 4-4-0 was originally built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for the CF&YV in January of 1890. It was sold to the Southern as part of the A&Y and eventually became part of class B. Under Southern ownership it may have started as A&Y #22, but was renumbered #1023 by 1903. In 1903, it was renumbered to #1811 to fit with other acquired B class locomotives. In 1907 to make room for new A-7 switchers, the class was renumbered from #1xxx to #3xxx and this locomotive became #3811 on January 6, 1908. prior to retirement. It was retired and likely scrapped in Coster in June 1925.
