This American Type 4-4-0 was retired in January 1922. Originally a CF&YV locomotive, it was sold to the Southern as part of the A&Y and eventually became part of class B. Under Southern ownership it may have started as A&Y #16, but was renumbered #1020 by 1903. In 1903, it was renumbered to #1808 to fit with other acquired B class locomotives. In 1907 to make room for new A-7 switchers, the class was renumbered from #1xxx to #3xxx and this locomotive became #3808 prior to retirement.
